Origin: 'Les Petits Monts' - just above the Richebourg and Cros Parantoux, Vosne-Romanée 1er cru, Burgundy, France

Soil: clay and limestone

Appellation: Vines planted between 1934 and 1935.

Rows are planted with an north-south orientation, across the steep slope. The soil offers very good drainage; the roots are forced to permeate deeply into the rocks for water and nutrients.


About the Producer

J&J Archambaud was founded in 2004 by Marie-Odile Archambaud Gerbet and her husband, Jean-Pierre Archambaud. Suzette comes from a distinguished family of multi-generation vignerons, and her parents, Suzette Sirugue and François Gerbet were creators of the François Gerbet estate which was established in 1946. Today, the domaine is run by Marie-Odile’s sons, Jean-Philippe and Jean-Christophe.  J&J Archambaud holds 5-hectares of vineyards exclusively in Vosne-Romanée, arguably the most prestigious commune in the Côte de Nuits. Its signature climats include the highly revered Echezeaux and Les Petits Monts. The domaine is fully certified organic and follows the principles of biodynamic farming, to embrace best expressions of the terroirs of Vosne-Romanée.
