The Producer
Cédric Bouchard took over his family’s vines in the Côte des Bar in the late 1990s and established Roses de Jeanne in 2000. From the outset, he focused on a strict approach: each cuvée is produced from a single vineyard, a single grape variety (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Pinot Blanc), a single vintage, and bottled with zero dosage.
The vineyards are farmed organically, with very low yields and careful attention to harvest timing. In the cellar, only the first pressing is used, and fermentations rely on indigenous yeasts. The second fermentation is carried out slowly and at low temperatures, resulting in fine bubbles and a precise, structured profile.
The estate has expanded through the addition of selected parcels to the original 1.37 hectares inherited from his father. Wines previously released under the Inflorescence label have, since 2014, been integrated into the Roses de Jeanne range. Roses de Jeanne includes Val Villain, Côte de Bachelin, Les Ursules, Haute-Lemblée, Bolorée and Le Creux d’Enfer, each reflecting the specific conditions of its vineyard origin.
