Christian Gosset’s family name has been the epitome of the prestigious Grand Cru village of Aÿ. For 35 years, Christian had been producing wines with his brother at their family estate of Champagne Gosset-Brabant. He ultimately took on a solo endeavour at the age of 50 in 2015, creating his own domaine, fulfilling his ambitions in making his own wines. That makes him one of the most experienced grower champagne producers. Christian’s project revolves around the five hectares of HVE-certified vineyards in the villages of Aÿ, Avenay-Val d’Or, Chouilly, Dizy and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The vines are typically aged and low-yielding and produce grapes of high concentration. With low impact viticulture and low intervention vinification processes, Christian sublimates the excellent terroir into wines of distinct precision, intense aroma, and structured finesse with long, complex finish.
