This is the second vintage of the Jerome Galeyrand Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. Jerome has been wanting to vinify a Grand Cru and he has been searching the best of 'DNA' in the terroir.

Notes from Jerome: “I’ve sought to make a Grand Cru wine for many years. The generous
2023 vintage allowed that dream to come true. I had the opportunity to make a few barrels of Clos de Vougeot. I was immediately excited by the challenge. The grapes were purchased
from a winegrower friend who farms some Clos de Vougeot."


Variety: Pinot Noir

Terroir:
From the central-eastern section of the vineyard, clay-limestone soil

Viticulture:
Purchased grapes grown in organic and biodynamic practices (not certified)

Vinification:
Grapes sorted in the vineyard and in the winery
100% whole cluster
Ambient yeast fermentation without added SO2
Pump-overs and punch-downs
Aged for 16 months in barrels (30% new)
SO2 added after malolactic conversion
13.5% alc


关于制片人

Jérôme Galeyrand 来自卢瓦尔河谷的克朗。他曾担任奶酪批发商,后在热夫雷-香贝丹的阿兰·布尔盖酒庄(Domaine Alain Burguet)参与了几年的采收工作,转而从事酿酒事业。从博讷葡萄酒学院毕业后,他于2002年买下了自己的第一块葡萄园地块Les Retraits,并在自家的酒庄进行酿酒。如今,Jérôme在夜丘(Côte de Nuits)拥有超过5公顷的葡萄园,分布在热夫雷-香贝丹、马尔萨内、菲克辛和夜丘村庄。Jérôme始终致力于实现葡萄酒风土的透明度、精准度和纯度,因此他广泛采用有机和生物动力法种植葡萄。严格不使用任何杀虫剂,耕作土壤以“保持土地活力”,并尽量减少亚硫酸盐的使用。 Jérôme 对葡萄藤的遗传物质研究有着浓厚的兴趣。他从老藤中提取基因组,并将其应用于新的葡萄种植,从而保持葡萄藤的品质多样性,最终成就了葡萄酒非凡的能量、深度和结构。
